Lookouts Bash Six Homeruns to Beat Jacksonville 15-1

(lookouts.com) The Chattanooga Lookouts clubbed a season-high six home runs in a 15-1 over the Jacksonville Suns. The win moves the Lookouts to .500 for the first time this season.

Not to be overshadowed by the Lookouts offense was starting pitcher Kohl Stewart. In his home debut the righty dazzled, only allowing three hits while fanning five batters. The performance earned the former first round pick his first career Double-A win.

Zack Granite set the tone for the Lookouts in the first inning with a lead off homer. In the fourth Travis Harrison hit the team’s second dinger of the day to give the team the 2-0 lead.

The flood gates opened in the fifth as Reginatto hit a two-run homer followed by a Daniel Palka solo shot. An inning later Jairo Rodriguez hit a two-run single to make it 7-0. Palka then smacked his second of the game, a three-run shot, to make it 11-0.

Jacksonville scored their only run in the seventh, but Mitch Garver capped off the scoring with a grand-slam in the eighth.

The 15-runs was a season-high for the Lookouts who now begin a 10-game road trip to end the first half. Tomorrow, the team heads to Knoxville to face off against the Smokies.
