Lookouts Changing Radio Affiliates to 96.1 The Legend

Chattanooga, Tenn. — The Chattanooga Lookouts full 140-game schedule will be broadcasted on the radio on iHeartMedia’s 96.1 the Legend for the 2016 season.
“We are extremely pleased to have been selected as the broadcast choice for one of Chattanooga’s most notable brands — The Chattanooga Lookouts,” said iHeartMedia Market President Becky Sweeney.
Fans will be able to hear the team’s first broadcast on 96.1 the Legend on April 7 at 7:40 pm when the team kicks off the defense of their 2015 Southern League title in Biloxi, Mississippi against the Shuckers.
“We are thrilled to be able to partner with iHeartMedia for the upcoming 2016 season,” said Lookouts Team President Rich Mozingo. “96.1 the Legend is a great radio station and is a perfect match for Lookouts baseball.”
Along with marking a new partnership, 2016 also sees the return of Southern League Hall of Fame inductee Larry Ward to the Lookouts radio booth. This season will be Larry’s 28th consecutive season calling Lookouts baseball, which makes him the longest tenured broadcaster in the Southern League. “The Voice” has been a staple in the Chattanooga Community for many years and was inducted into the Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
The Lookouts 2016 season, presented by FSG Bank, begins on the road in Biloxi on April 7. The team makes their 2016 home debut on April 12 when they face off against the Jackson Generals at 6:15 p.m. at AT&T Field.
