Lookouts David Hurlbut Picks Up Team High 11th Win as Chattanooga Beats Jackson

Five Chattanooga Lookouts (75-59) recorded at least one RBI in the team’s 8-2 win over the Jackson Generals (51-83). The team’s eight-run outburst backed starting pitcher David Hurlbut, who earned his team-high 11th win of the season with a seven strong innings. 

The scoring began for Chattanooga in the second when Stuart Turner singled home Levi Michael.  Niko Goodrum scored on the next play when Heiker Meneses hit a RBI single of his own. 

Jackson tied it up in the third, but the Lookouts added two in the bottom of that inning on a two-run single by DJ Hicks.  The team expanded their lead to six an inning later when Walker doubled home a run and an error plated two more.  The team scored their final run in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Jorge Polanco. 

With the series now tied at one game a piece the two team’s return tomorrow to AT&T Field for a 7:15 pm matchup.  RHP Greg Peavey is on the mound for the Lookouts and will face RHP Dylan Unsworth.
