Lookouts Deal Montgomery First Shut Out of the Season

(lookouts.com) CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Edgar Corcino hit a two-run single in the sixth inning to give the Chattanooga Lookouts a 2-0 win over the Montgomery Biscuits on Wednesday.

John Curtiss struck Michael Russell out with a runner on third to end the game for his eighth save of the season.

Chattanooga starter Fernando Romero (3-5) picked up the win after allowing just three hits over six scoreless innings. Opposing starter Hunter Wood (3-3) took the tough loss in the Southern League game after giving up two runs and four hits over 7 2/3 innings.

The Biscuits were held off the scoreboard for the first time this season, while the Lookouts’ staff recorded their fifth shutout of the year.
