Lookouts Edge the Shuckers 3-2

The Chattanooga Lookouts held on for a 3-2 win over the Biloxi Shuckers on Thursday at AT&T Field. The start of the game was delayed one hour and 45 minutes by rain. But the delay didn’t seem to bother Lookouts starter Jose Berrios. He entered the contest as the Southern  League’s strikeout leader. He fanned seven Shuckers on the night.  Berrios took a shut-out into the 8th inning before Biloxi touched him up for two runs. Jorge Polanco gave Chattanooga a 1-0 lead in the third with an RBI single. Then in the bottom of the fourth, the Lookouts Adam Brett Walker hit his league leading 12th homerun of the season. A two run blast to make it 3-0. The Shuckers scored twice in the 8th, but the Lookouts hung on for the 3-2 victory.
