Lookouts Fall 6-2 to M-Braves in Regular Season Home Finale

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Stephen Gaylor had four hits as the Mississippi Braves topped the Chattanooga Lookouts 6-2 on Wednesday.

Mississippi started the scoring with a big second inning, when it put up four runs, including a two-run triple by Johan Camargo.

Following the big inning, the Lookouts cut into the deficit in the bottom of the inning when Niko Goodrum hit an RBI triple, bringing home Edgar Corcino.

The Braves added to their lead in the eighth when Joey Meneses hit a two-run home run.

Chattanooga missed a scoring opportunity in the seventh, when Corcino grounded out with the bases loaded to end the inning.

Mississippi right-hander Lucas Sims (5-4) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing two runs on seven hits over six innings. Opposing starter Felix Jorge (2-5) took the loss in the Southern League game after allowing six runs and 14 hits over seven innings.

For the Lookouts, Corcino doubled and singled.

The Lookouts finish up the regular season with a five game road trip to Jackson.
