Major League Fishing Stage Four Victory
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Major League Fishing’s Bass Pro Tour Stage Four concluded today in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with Jake Lawrence emerging as the champion.
Fishing on Nickajack Lake, the Paris, Tennessee native amassed an impressive eighty-three pounds, two ounces over the course of the tournament.
Lawrence’s performance outpaced a competitive field, including runner-up Jacob Wheeler.
News 12 was able to speak to Jake Lawrence, Major League Fishing Champion, about what this win means to him and the hardest parts about the final minutes. Here is what he had to say:
“To stay mentally in the game, you know. We had a buzzer beater like no other there and had I not kept myself composed… I’m very very proud of myself that I was able to keep myself as composed as I was able to be there and be able to generate that final bite. That really sealed the deal for me.”
This victory marks a significant milestone in Lawrence’s professional fishing career, capping this tournament off with a $150,000 prize.
