Man arrested for killing his mother
DeKalb County, AL (WDEF)- The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Tyler Ryan Blansit of Mentone for the murder of his mother Sherry Ann Blansit Saturday.
Sheriff Jimmy Harris said Tyler and his mother had been in an argument over grades Friday when he struck Sherry in the head and it appears that her death was caused from blunt force trauma to the head area. His mother was transported to Department of Forensics Science in Huntsville for an autopsy.

The District Attorney was contacted after the confession from Tyler and he remains in the DeKalb County Detention Center awaiting bond.
