Man charged with sexually assaulting woman while she slept on the couch

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A Chattanooga man faces a sexual assault charge after an incident in Orchard Knob on Wednesday.

Police say the victim was visiting a home on Ivy Street and fell asleep on the couch.

She says she was awakened by a person at the door.

She says that she tried to get up, but fell down.

That’s when she realized a man had his hands in her pants.

She ran outside and called police.

The responding officer charged resident Anthony Brown with sexual battery.
