Man charged with killing a woman with a rock

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man with killing a homeless woman by hitting her in the head with a rock.
Officers found the body of 50 year old Luz Ramirez under a bridge Wednesday at Willowdale and Crow Valley roads.
They found evidence at the scene linking them to 54 year old Fred Sherman.
The Sheriff says he later admitted to attacking Ramirez with a rock.
