Man Dies in Red Bank House Fire
RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) – One man is dead after a house fire in Red Bank Thursday morning.
The Red Bank Fire Department says that the fatal fire on Charlotte Avenue Thursday morning began around 5 a.m.
That’s when they say they received a phone call about the fire and rushed to the scene.
When firefighters arrived, they found the front of the home on fire.
They say they had to search for an entry point to the home due to the fire blocking all entrances.
This resulted in firefighters making a knock down to gain entry to the home.
When they did, they found a resident, who Hamilton county says is a man, in the back of the residence.
Firefighters were able to remove him, but he was pronounced dead by EMS.
His identity has not been released.
The Hamilton County Medical Examiner was called in to do an autopsy.
Hamilton County says the home is a complete loss.
No first responders sustained any injuries.
We saw several neighbors and family friends spending the day boarding up the home.
Those who were cleaning up say the man who died in the fire was an integral part of the community as his family had owned the house for decades.
One man mentioned his father had been a leader for the victim when he was younger in Boy Scouts.
They went on to say the community will deeply miss them.
