Man pleads guilty to vehicular homicide in Red Bank crash
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF)– A man who was found to be under the influence when he caused a deadly crash in Red Bank has now been sentenced.
Investigators say passenger Haven West was killed in the crash in July. It happened on Ashmore Avenue.
25-year-old, William Cheek pleaded guilty on Thursday to vehicular homicide by recklessness.
The Judge gave Cheek a 10-year suspended sentence.
As part of the plea deal, Cheek will serve 11 months and 29 days in jail. Once he gets out, his driver license will be taken away for five years. He also must undergo three months of intensive treatment with CADAS.
