Man shot while driving in Alton Park

Update: Police have determined that the shooting took place in the 4800 clock of Wilson Street.

he drove himself to the store next to the Bethlehem Center ans asked the clerk to call the police.

After originally refusing to go to the hospital, an officer eventually talked him into going and drove him there.

Police are looking for a dark colored Nissan Altima with aftermarket rims in connection with the shooting.

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A Chattanooga man was shot while driving this morning in Alton Park.

He pulled into the parking lot of the Bethlehem Center on 38th Street and called police.

His injuries are non life threatening.

The man has a bullet wound in the leg.

He is talking to investigators, but they say he hopped out of the ambulance and refused a trip to the emergency room.
