Masonic Lodge Vandal Suspect pleads guilty to arson

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- The man charged with arson in the vandalism of the Chattanooga Masonic Lodge last year has pleaded guilty in federal court.

Kadum Harwood has pleaded guilty according to a federal plea document.

Evidence showed that on September 4, 2023, Harwood traveled from his Catoosa County home to the Masonic Lodge to damage or destroy the building.

The plea document describes how he set two separate fires and even fired a gunshot at the building.

Harwood is facing up to five years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000/
