McCallie Baseball Wins Rivalry Rubber Match Against Baylor

Chattanooga-(WDEF) The McCallie baseball team beat Baylor 11-1 in game three of their two day series. The two rivals split their first two games with each contest decided by one run.
The Blue Tornado jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, and they added to that advantage in the bottom of the third. Cruz Bautista stroked a double down the left field line to score two runs to make it 6-0.
Baylor scored their lone run in the top of the fourth on a base hit by Tate Prater, which scored Keaton Baker from third. McCallie answered quickly in the bottom of the fourth with a solo homer from Corbin Brooksbank.
McCallie carried an 8-1 lead into the bottom of the fifth, where they scored three times to win by mercy rule. Jackson Mathis scored the final run on a wild pitch.
