McMinn Co Upsets Walker Valley in District Tournament Action

Soddy Daisy, TN-(WDEF-TV) McMinn Co upset Walker Valley 62-58 on Thursday night in the opening round of the District 5-AAA tournament at Soddy Daisy High School. McMinn Co entered the game with a 9-15 record, and they had already lost twice to Walker Valley in the regular season. With the win the Cherokees advance to the district tournament semifinals, while the Mustangs see their season come to a close. This contest stayed tight throughout. McMinn Co was up 29-27 at halftime.
