McMinn County Man Drowns at Blue Cove Quarry

A McMinn County man lost his life Tuesday following a drowning incident.

McMinn County Sheriff’s Officials say the body of 31-year old Warren McLean Dougherty was pulled from the water at the Blue Cove Quarry near Riceville.

Witnesses says Dougherty jumped into the water from a significant height and never re-surfaced.

The Sheriff’s office continues to investigate.
