Miller Park now closed for redesign

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The first phase of the Miller Park District Redesign got underway this morning.

With construction lasting for twelve months, the new Miller Park will have a dynamic pavilion, large green lawn and climbable rock.

City workers were taking down lighting and doing preliminary work this morning.

It’s part of the 2013 City Center Plan.

It includes closing lanes on MLK Boulevard for a short time this fall.

Miller Park’s anticipated re-opening is July 3, of next year.
