Mocs Davis Tull and Derrick Lott on Official List For NFL Combine in February
Two members of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team are on the official participant list for the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine that was released on Friday. UTC senior defensive linemen Davis Tull and Derrick Lott are among the more than 300 on www.NFL.com/combine roster.
The NFL Scouting Combine takes place Feb. 17-23 and is a vital evaluation opportunity for potential picks in the upcoming NFL Draft. Tull and Lott are the third and fourth UTC student-athletes to be invited to the NFL Scouting Combine under current head coach Russ Huesman, joining Buster Skrine (2011) and B.J. Coleman (2012).
Tull was a three-time All-American and a three-time Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He set the league’s career sack record with 37.0, fourth all-time in NCAA history. A two-time Academic All-American, Tull graduated in December with a degree in Health & Human Performance.
Lott is a two-time All-SoCon performer who spent three seasons at UTC after transferring from Georgia. He only played in four games in 2013 before being sidelined by an injury at Georgia Southern and was given a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA. He was a first team selection in 2014, finishing fourth in the SoCon with six sacks. He graduated in December with a degree in Integrated Studies.
The NFL Network has full coverage of the combine. The defensive linemen are scheduled to take part in on-field workouts on Sunday, Feb. 22. Look for Tull to workout with the outside linebackers on the same day.
Tull and Lott are two of 27 FCS players invited. Chattanooga is one of three programs at the FCS level with multiple participants, including North Dakota State and Towson.
