Mocs Will ‘Enter the Sandstorm’ to Close Out Regular Season

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) The Mocs lost their last two SoCon games by a combined ten points, which knocked them out of the playoff picture.
Now UTC must regroup for their regular season finale as they venture into SEC territory to battle South Carolina.

Mocs coach Tom Arth knows how close his team was to making this a special season.
Said Arth:”You know we are one possession away from being 10-0. And we were in the hunt for the entirety of that season.”
Chattanooga will finish with a winning record after going 3-8 last year.
Said Arth:”Being in every game. Having an opportunity to win every game that we played. It’s a far cry from where we were.”
Said receiver Wil Young:”I feel like we got the ball rolling in the right direction. This senior group. We wanted to leave a legacy, and so for us to leave on a winning note is a plus.”
Now the Mocs must prepare to enter the Sandstorm at South Carolina, which is the Gamecocks famous music intro before each home game at Williams-Brice Stadium.
Said Arth:”When you are in a place that means so much to so many people. Whether that’s they’re rooting for you or they’re rooting against you. Either way it’s so motivating.”
Said Young:”We’ll simulate as best we can, but we know what we are going into. We know that we will probably have difficulty communicating pre-snap.”
Reporter:”What’s different about playing the big schools?”
Said defensive lineman Isaiah Mack:”To me the biggest thing is the depth. Like their first string is as good as their second string. Their second string is as good as their third. I like it because in a sense, it keeps you on your toes. Even if they bring in the second string or third string, it’s still going to be a fight. So it’s good competition.”
