Montgomery man dies after being struck by vehicle in roadway

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) – A Montgomery man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a road.

WSFA-TV reports 32-year-old Tarvis Erby was killed early Sunday.

Montgomery police Lt. Denise Barnes says Erby got hit by a 2007 Jeep Compass on Mobile Highway after the victim stepped into the roadway.

The driver of the Jeep was not injured in the collision, which happened at about 1:25 a.m.

Police say they are still investigating the collision.
