More Acts, Finalists Announced for 2023 CMT Music Awards

AUSTIN, Texas (WDEF) — CMT has announced more acts, and some of the finalists for its 2023 Music Awards this weekend.

Tennessee Valley native Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn, are one of six finalists for the “Video of the Year” award.

It’s for their music video for their hit song, “Thank God.”

Several other artists including Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, and HARDY are also vying for the belt buckle trophy.

It’s up to the fans to decide the winner.

CMT has also added Alanis Morissette, Madeline Edwards, and even Gwen Stefani to its star-studded performance roster, to name a few.

Shania Twain will even be recognized with the third-ever “CMT Equal Play Award.” It honors an artist who advocates for elevating diverse and underrepresented voices in country music.
