More events added for this year’s Main X 24

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – It’ll be a busy weekend here in Chattanooga.

Not only will the high school football state championship games be played Saturday at Finley Stadium, but there’ll be a huge “Block Party” on Main Street!

After taking a year off because of the pandemic, the “Main-Times-24” parade and street festival will take place Saturday, beginning at 8 o’clock in the morning, and running 24 hours straight.

Over 100 events will take place on Main Street in that period of time. To include crafts, music and of course, all different types of food.

There’ll be lots of room to move around, and that’s important.

Because there’ll be a LOT of people on the scene!!

“We don’t know exactly how many people come, but we’ve done fly-over footage, as well as counting folks and conducting estimates. So we definitely think in the past, we’ve had roughly 10-thousand people here on Main Street……”

This is the 15th year the event will be held. Remember, the entire festival is free to the public.
