Morning Round-up: Bible Bill Veto Override, It Can Wait, Earth Day Preview

Republicans in the Tennessee Legislature get their first chance this week to override Governor Bill Haslam’s veto of the Bible bill.  The sponsors of the legislation seeking to make the Bible the official book of Tennessee are expected to announce veto override plans on the House floor tonight, which would set up a vote for Wednesday. It only takes a majority in both chambers to override a veto.

State law enforcement officials kick off a campaign at UTC today to prevent distracted driving. “It Can Wait” will show students first-hand the impact of distracted driving through a virtual simulator.
