Morning Round-up: Double Planning Commission Meeting, Chester Frost Park Arrest, & Ted Talk

Chattanooga (WDEF) Hamilton County’s Planning Commission takes up some hot button requests today, prompting them to break their meeting up into two parts. At 1pm, they’ll discuss the proposed Form Based Code. At 3pm, they’ll consider zoning requests. A tiny home development for the homeless in Snow Hill and a Botanical Garden on Lookout Mountain are among the issues attracting a lot of attention.

Quick actions by a woman who told authorities about some young females being touched inappropriately at Chester Frost Park leads to an arrest.
51-year old James Eastman stands accused of two counts of sexual battery and one count of solicitation of a minor. Authorities say the incidents happened in the water. Read more on this story here.

And – “Ted Talk” sensation Ken Robinson drops by the Howard School tonight for a free event on education reform.
He’ll be discussing ways to build creative schools, beginning at 6pm.
