Morning Round-up: Walker Co. Debate, Nuclear Power Safety Concerns & Dolly in Concert

Walker County residents will get the chance to hear from candidates wanting to be the county’s next sole Commissioner. A candidate debate takes place tonight at 7:00pm at Community Baptist Church in Rock Spring. Candidates running for State Senate will also be part of the town hall forum.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission warns that employees at the Watts Bar nuclear power plant do *not* feel free to raise safety concerns out of fear of retaliation. As a result, the Tennessee Valley Authority has 30 days to come up with a plan to address work environment concerns at its plant.

Dolly Parton brings her Pure & Simple concert tour to Pigeon Forge. The November 15th show at the LeConte Center will benefit her Imagination Library. Tickets go on sale July 1st, but Dollywood season passholders will have an opportunity to purchase concert tickets before that date.
