Mother charged with leaving her children home alone

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A Chattanooga mom has been charged with child neglect after police say she left a three and four-year old home alone.

24-year old Tiffany Buttram was arrested late last night after police were called to her home to see if her young children had been left there alone.

When police arrived at Buttram’s residence on Chamberlain Avenue, they found the children alone in a bedroom sleep.

According to police, Buttram admitted to leaving the kids but could not give a reason why she left them alone.
