Mother and son charged with meth possession on Sand Mountain

FORT PAYNE, Alabama (WDEF) – Police officers from Sylvania and Powell Alabama served warrants at a home in Rainsville on Tuesday.

They wanted 25 year old Justin Tyler Jackson for escape and failure to appear in court.

But then the officers spotted drugs in plain sight at the home.

They called deputies from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department.

And they arrested both Jackson and his mom, 40 year old Gloria Patterson for possession of meth.

Sheriff JImmy Harris says “Thanks to the Powell and Sylvania Police Departments for continuing to work with us and made these arrest possible.”
