Motor home destroyed in fire on Dallas Hollow Road

SODDY DAISY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Crews worked to put out a motor home fire in Soddy Daisy Friday morning.

On September 12, 2025, at 12:04 p.m., crews with Dallas Bay Fire & Rescue responded to the fire in the 9400 block of Dallas Hollow Road.

Upon arrival, crews found the active fire in a motor home with 50% involvement.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and there were no injuries as a result of this fire.

According to the Dallas Bay Fire & Rescue, the owner advised he had just bought the vehicle and it had been sitting for years prior.

While the owner was driving the motor home, the engine backfired and caught fire.

The motor home is a total loss.
