Motorcyclist running from police crashes and dies in Bradley County

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – A motorcyclist running from police died when he crashed in Bradley County overnight.

The chase started in Collegedale, where city police clocked the bike going 80 miles an hour in a 45 zone.

The officer tried to pull him over, but the motorcycle fled north on Highway 11 into Bradley County.

Bradley County officers say 57 year old Michael McAllister of Ringgold crashed just after midnight on Bancroft road.

They say the bike went across a gravel drive, into a ditch, hit a culvert and flipped McAllister.

He died later Thursday morning at a local hospital from the injuries.
