Mourners Flock To DuPont Parkway To Watch Procession & Honor Sgt. Wyatt
Brittany Hall-George, Chattanooga,TN, "Today is extremely special to me, i do have a family who have served in the military, my father in law was a marine, but i think more than anything we can’t take back the lives that are lost but we can honor them and that is all we want to do and say thank you".
George stood out on another bridge Thursday night with her flag just hours after Mohammad Abdulazeez went on a shooting rampage.
Her husband Luke has stayed by her side since early morning.
"My wife sent me a text i didn’t know what to feel, its not anything that feels like it is real, you don’t think that kind of stuff can happen here".
Luke and Brittany were joined by friends, family and colleagues as flashing lights and star spangled banners covered DuPont Parkway.
"Looked at poorly and looked at greatly, the least we can do is support our guys, they are keeping us safe here and this is the least we can do to show our appreciation for them".
Some children were up late making posters while others flew military and US flags.
