Mr. Belding Returns In New Dirty Heads Video ‘Vacation’
New York, NY (WDEF) – Chattanooga native Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding) takes on the empty halls of Bayside High once again for the release of Dirty Head’s new viral music video.
“Vacation”, is the first single of the California band’s upcoming album.
Channeling 90’s nostalgia and celebrating all things summer vacation, the video stars Saved By The Bell’s beloved Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins) relishing school letting out for summer.
Co- directed by Wayne Isham [Metallica, Foo Fighters, Michael Jackson] and Ryan Ewing, the clip features references to the show’s most revered moments including Zack Morris’ brick phone, Jesse Spano’s caffeine pills, and of course the iconic Bayside Tiger Mascot.
Produced by frequent Dirty Heads collaborator Jonas Jeberg [Demi Lovato, Juicy J, Nicki Minaj], “Vacation” is the lead track off Dirty Heads’ sixth LP, out later this year on Five Seven Music.
Released June 30th, “Vacation” has already seen 3.5 Million streams to date and is entering its second week as the #1 Most Added at Alternative Radio two weeks in a row.
The single debuted at #11 on iTunes’ Alternative Song Chart and continues to hold steady Spotify’s viral charts following release week peaks at #6 on Spotify’s US Viral 50, #14 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50, and has been added to Spotify’s Viral Hits playlist, proving “Vacation” to be the ultimate summer smash.
“I want ‘Vacation’ to speak to people out there who have paid their dues and love their jobs,” explains Dirty Heads’ Jared “Dirty-J” Watson. “For those who don’t enjoy what they do every day, it sends a message that, ‘It’s not too late to do something else.’ If you’re not happy, life is way too fucking short to hang around and do things you don’t love. We’re blessed to do something we’re passionate about. We hope you feel the same!”
