Multiple fire departments assist in fighting abandoned house fire
SODDY-DAISY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A driver called 911 on Wednesday morning to report a house fire in Soddy-Daisy.
It was an abandoned house in the woods, located at 9314 Smith Cemetery Circle.
The Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded just after 2 a.m. to the call. The fire chief reported the home did not have a driveway. So, there was no access to the home for their firetrucks.
After requesting mutual aid, the Chattanooga Fire Department and Soddy-Daisy Fire Department arrived with brush trucks. The crews used the trucks to fight the fire in the woods.
The fire department said there were no injuries.
Now, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
