Multiple crews helped to rescue 16 year old in Pocket Wilderness
SODDY DAISY, Tennessee(WDEF) – A 16-year old has been transported to Children’s Hospital after being rescued at Pocket Wilderness.
According to Mowbray VFD Asst. Chief Dusten Woodard, a 16 year old male had injured his knee jumping into a swimming hole between the creek crossing and the Blue Hole at the Pocket Wilderness located at the foot of Mowbray Mountain.
Hamilton County Sheriff Officers were the first units on the scene. They entered to the woods to find the injured victim on the trail getting assistance from his friends and helping him walk out of the woods. The officers assisted the injured teenager walk toward the main entrance of the trail until they were met with fire/rescue personnel to take over and assist with getting the victim out of the woods.
Rescue personnel brought the injured party to Hamilton County EMS personnel where they transported the patient to Children’s Hospital at Erlanger for further medical treatment.
The teen has not been identified and there is no word on his condition.
