Murray County Chamber Welcome PolyTech Fibers To Murray County

MURRAY COUNTY, GA, (WDEF)-Power crews worked Tuesday to connect North Georgia’s newest company to the grid.

PolyTech Fibers say they will create an initial 114 jobs at this 80,000 sq foot facility just outside Chatsworth.

Don Lee, PolyTech Fibers Operations Manager, "Stretcher operator, packing, extrusion, acryling, there are so many different ones, but they are some of the main ones, we also need some engineers"

The Korean-American led company say installation of their new state of the art polyester  machinery should be completed by December.

"We really wanted to be close to the carpet industry, this area has lots of recycling places and plastic industry around this place is amazing"

The company will also also provide polyester materials for the automotive and residential markets in Georgia and beyond.

At Murray County Chamber of Commerce they say their residents are eager to get to work as soon as possible and hope it paves the way for more companies to chose Murray County in the future.

Dinah Rowe of The Murray County Chamber of Commerce believes the company and its management are a good fit for the region.

"We have a beautiful county, when people come to look and prospects come and think they might move their company here or start a new company here, they also look at the quality of life"
 
PolyTech have committed an initial 12 million dollars to the project.

The company aims to start production in January and hiring will be done through TiDra staffing.
