Murray County deputy charged with harassing young women online

CHATSWORTH, Georgia (WDEF) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Murray County deputy.

They say 22 year old Levi Amos got onto the Georgia Crime Information Center database to look up personal information on underage women.

And then they say he sent them inappropriate messages and pictures of himself electronically.

The charges are Violation of Oath by Public Officer, Electronically Furnishing Obscene Material to Minors, and Computer Invasion of Privacy.

Amos resigned from the Sheriff’s Office after being suspended.
