Natalie Kimbell releases chapbook of poems, ‘On Phillips Creek’
News 12 This Morning: Local author Natalie Kimbell joins News 12’s Amelia Greer (and former SCHS student) to talk about her latest work, ‘On Phillips Creek.’
DUNLAP, Tenn. (WDEF) — A local author is hoping to inspire others through her chapbook of poems, ‘On Phillips Creek.’
Natalie Kimbell has been writing for most of her life and finds it as a form of therapy along with self-expression.
She’s worked as an educator for many years at Sequatchie County High School, teaching English and Theater.
Kimbell has inspired many students to chase their dreams, and now she’s seeing one of her own come to fruition.
Her latest chapbook compiles poems of nostalgia and grief — back to her grandmother’s home in Virginia.
She’s hoping to bring hope to others in spite of whatever emotions they might be facing.
The author also wants to inspire people to take up writing and tell their stories.
