New changes coming to Chattanooga’s Southside

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Newly launched real estate development Mapleleaf Realco announced a new investment deal for Chattanooga’s Southside that’s starting to get underway.

With Chattanooga continuing to grow in population at an expected 2.2% in the next 5 years and almost 5% in 10 years, places of residency and retail spaces are growing right along with the population growth.

The firm announced new projects on Chattanooga’s Southside with plans to invest more than $50 million.

The project is expected to bring new townhomes on Madison Street, two new residential buildings and three projects on East Main Street.

The project also includes a total renovation of the former Atlas Bolt building, which has been around for 50 years.

The Madison project will bring 31 townhomes along the street and the former Altas Bolt Building at 615 E. Main Street will be completely renovated into a potential restaurant and retail spaces. Main street will also include a total of 69 new condominiums in two separate residential buildings.
