New Football Turf Going Down at Bristol Motorspeedway

The infield at Bristol will soon be a football field.
Workers are busy laying down the new artificial turf over the infield pavement at the Bristol Motorspeedway.
That’ll be the playing surface for the Tennessee-Virginia Tech game set to kick on Saturday, September 10th.
Over 150,00 fans are expected to attend the unique football game at the short track, which will make it the largest attended college football game in history.
Said track president Jerry Caldwell,”We’ve got a great team here at Bristol Motorspeedway and the University of Tennessee and Virginia Tech and many others that have helped put this plan in place. Now the execution has taken shape, and it’s going well.”
