New Interpretive Signs Installed at Highway 111 Overlook
Dunlap, TN (WDEF) – Two new interpretive panels were unveiled on the Highway 111 overlook near Dunlap. The signs tell the story of the Sequatchie Valley’s natural, geological, and cultural history.
They also highlight the Sequatchie Valley Scenic Byway’s designation as a National Scenic Byway from the U.S. Department of Transportation. That scenic byway runs 75 miles from Jasper to Crab Orchard, Tennessee.
Sequatchie County Executive Keith Cartwright told TDOT sponsors that the community looks forward to sharing the natural resources with with visitors.
Tennessee has ten nationally designated scenic byways, the fourth-most in the country.
