New Year’s Eve Run to Support Local Non-Profit
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — You can start your New Year’s celebrations off right, and support a good cause Monday night.
The 40th annual Karen Lawrence Run is happening at 7 p.m. in downtown Chattanooga.
You can either run four miles, or do a two-mile walk.
It supports Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga, which keeps families of critically ill children together during their treatment.
If you’ve done the run in years’ past, organizers say you’ll see some cool new changes this year.
“This year is a glow run, so there will be three stations along the way, where people can pick up a glow bracelet or necklace or something like that. The shirt, everything you see in white will glow in the dark, and there will be three black light stations as well,” said Mike Lawrence, one of the race organizers.
You can register for the run on Monday starting at 4 p.m., or you can do it online here: https://www.rmhchattanooga.com/news-events/karen-lawrence-run/.
