News 12 Raises Money for Salvation Army in Battle of the Bells Competition
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — News 12 and other Chattanooga area broadcasters battled it out at Hamilton Place Mall Friday for the sixth annual Battle of the Bells competition.
We all competed to see who could raise the most money in our red kettles for the Salvation Army of Chattanooga.
That hasn’t been determined yet, but it’s obviously News 12. 😉
All the money collected benefits the non-profit’s programs year-round.
“150,000 as our goal. I think we can meet it,” said Capt. Matt Cunningham, Salvation Army of Chattanooga. “We have one more big week left before Christmas Eve, and the community has been so giving so far, and if you have it in your heart, reach a little deeper, give. You can also give online if you’d like. It’s csarmy.org. ”
If you couldn’t make it out to the mall and would like to help, you can also donate to News 12’s digital red kettle here. It also benefits the Salvation Army.
