UAW Backs Out of Appeals Process

The United Auto Workers backed out of the lengthy appeal process involving Chattanooga's Volkswagen Plant. That means there will be no union representation at the plant right now. In February, employees rejected the idea in a 712 to 626 vote. Since then, the UAW filed an appeal with the National Labor Relations Board. UAW officials said local politicians swayed the vote. But the UAW backed out before the appeal hearing Monday morning at 9 am.

Chattanoogans Launch Referendum Campaign

A group of Chattanoogans who oppose the domestic partner ordinance launch a new campaign Thursday. It's called the Referendum Campaign. Citizens for Government Accountability and Transparency want residents to starting thinking about how they'll vote on the issue come August.
