Nightfall Cutbacks Concern Some Fans
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga’s beloved Nightfall concert series is back, but not without some big changes stirring up some concern.
This year, the lineup is being cut in half, and the season will only run for ten weeks instead of the usual fifteen.
Adding to the shake-up, the first three weeks will take place at Miller Park instead of its longtime home at Miller Plaza.
Carla Pritchard, Nightfall Producer, stated that they “decided this year, in our 38th year of Nightfall, to switch up the dates a little bit so it is a slightly shorter season than usual. It will still be 10 weeks long, which is a long time to do anything, actually, so we thought what we prefer to do is back it up to the beginning of May which we have done in some years past, but not recently.”
The season kicks off May 2nd and wraps up on July 4th, with fewer performances but the same promise of live music, food trucks, and family fun.
