No bond for man charged in Grundy officer involved shooting

ALTAMONT, Tennessee (WDEF) Jacky Wayne Bean was arraigned Thursday morning in a Grundy County court.

He is charged with pulling a gun on a deputy during a pursuit before Christmas.

It happened in the Flat Branch area of Tracy City on B Mine Road.

Deputies chased Bean and fired weapons into his vehicle.

He got away, but his passenger was found dead in the vehicle.

The cause of 20 year old Shelby Comer’s death has not yet been determined.

Medical examiners in Nashville have still not completed their report.

The TBI is still investigating.

Bean was later captured.

Today, General Sessions Judge Trey Anderson ordered him to remain in custody without bond, until his next hearing in February.
