Nooga Strong Support

One week after the tragic shooting in Chattanooga..an outpouring of people continue to show their support for our community. "Chattanooga Strong" has been printed on items that can be seen just about everywhere you look.

From posters, to car decals, to writing #NoogaStrong on your arm, there is a sense of unity in our community after tragedy in Chattanooga. Darrin Ledford, Image Works Owner said, "We wanted to do our part. And we wanted to show Chattanooga our love and our support." Image Works on South Broad Street has been printing Chattanooga Strong signs the past several days. They have given out more than 12-thousand of them so far for free. Ledford said, "We hope that in this small way we can help the community show their love and their support to the fallen and their families."

Tom Marshall with Billy T and Tom Signs has printed more than 5-thousand of car decals. He is selling them for 3-dollars at 2 different locations in Hixson and off Bonny Oaks. He has already raised 7-thousand dollars for the victims families. Tom Marshall, Billy T and Tom Signs General Manager said, "There has been lines of people out the door. We are running a second shift trying to keep up with production because there is so many. The need that everybody wants to give back someway and heal and come together."

For those who can’t financially contribute, a Facebook event was created Thursday where people can show their support by writing #NoogaStrong on their arm. Shanna Rinehart, Facebook Event Creator said, "This was a simple way to say that we support the fallen. We support our Police Officers. We support all of the First Responders, and not only that but the city and the way they responded. Its made me extremely proud to be from Chattanooga, so this was the easiest way I knew how to do it." More than 1-hundred pictures from across the area and country have been uploaded to the #NoogaStrong Facebook event showing support for our community.
