Noon Power Outage updates from across the area

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – High winds continue to bring down trees in our area, which means more power problems.

EPB was still working to restore power to 800 customers, which is up from the 500 they still had out last night.

EPB’s Vegetation Manager, George Morgan, told us “We’ve had a lot of tree outages …a lot of trees fall through lines.”

“Just this past month we’ve had about 200 uprooted tree outages…and we did in March as well. So, that’s trees when they just uproot..fall out of the ground and fall through the lines.”

The Volunteer Energy Cooperative has seem more problems this morning.

Polk: 379
