Norfolk Southern Police investigating woods fire
APISON, Tenn. (WDEF)- Norfolk Southern police are investigating after a fire was started in the woods this afternoon.
According to Tri-Community Volunteer Fire department, the fire burned two acres of land between Alabama Road and Howardsville Road.
Due to limited access points and a steep terrain multiple agencies had to assist with the effort.
Norfolk Southern stopped all trains during the incident for the safety of the firefighters.
No injuries were reported.
