Notre Dame Girls Fall to The King’s Academy in Region Tournament

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) The Notre Dame girls basketball team saw their season come to an end on Tuesday night after falling at home 53-49 to The King’s Academy in their region tournament. The Irish trailed 38-36 to start the fourth quarter. They quickly fell behind seven points before they mounted a comeback. Kenzie Campbell hit a corner three, and then MacKenzie Johnson scored twice inside to tie the game. With under four minutes to play, Notre Dame grabbed the lead as Kate Ford weaved through traffic for a lay-up to make it 47-45 Irish. Then with the score tied at 47 with just over two minutes to go, the Lions Jennifer Sullivan scored underneath, and she was fouled. Sullivan converted the free throw, and the Lions never trailed again as they won it 53-49.
