Officer Mark Kaylor case going to the Grand Jury

(Red Bank, TN) WDEF – The Hamilton County Grand Jury will hear the case against Red Bank Police Officer Mark Kaylor.
The District Attorney General’s Office made that decision after reviewing a report from the T-B-I.
District Attorney Neal Pinkston released a statement that the case will be submitted for consideration by the Hamilton County Grand Jury the week of March 2.
Several months ago, Pinkston asked the TBI to investigate Kaylo’s handling of the arrest of Candido Resendiz.
It all stems from dash cam video showing Kayor allegedly beating Resendiz in the head during an arrest, causing Resendiz to suffer a serious fracture to the front of his skull.
An internal investigation cleared officer Kaylor.
But red flags arose after our investigation into what happened, especially when we reported the video surveillance was not made available during a preliminary court hearing.
Since our initial report, the TBI has gotten involved and even the FBI.
Erik Avanier will have reaction from the attorney for Candido Resendiz tonight on News 12 at Six.
